* An
inaugural bash is to be held at Kalaivanar Arangam on Thursday,
March 22, Following his much-hyped 'Hey ! Ram', Kamal Haasan will
be playing the lead in director K.S.Ravikumar's home-production
'THENALI', a full length comedy as the title suggests. Kamal and
Ravikumar had already teamed up in 'Avvai Shanmughi' will be RaviKumar's
next after 'Padayappa'.
* Produced
under the banner R.K.Celluloids, the muhurat of 'Tenali' took place
on a grand scale at Kalaivanar Arangam. Rajnikant graced the occasion
by his presence and was also seen seated side by sidewith Kamal
Haasan.
* Jyothika,
the much talked about rising star of the times is playing Kamal's
pair in the film while Jayaram and Devayani form the other pair.
* Well
Known film directors like K.Balachander, Shankar, Manirathnam, Bharathiraja,
Bhagyaraj, Vikraman etc., were also present on the occasion. Gemini
Ganesh, Sarath Kumar, Ajith & Salini, Vijay, ArunKumar, Jyothika,
Meena and Kasthuri represented the stars.
* The
shooting for Thenaali is almost complete. Three more songs have
to be picturized (in places like Australia and Switzerland). An
apt title song "thenaali thenaali ivan bayaththukku engumillai veli"
is written by Ilayakambam.
- The tunes are supposed to be versions of Rahman's songs in earlier
Hindi films.
