The glamourous Malayalam star, Simran, unquestioned numero uno in
both Tamil and Telugu cinema, is likely to be roped in by director
Sibi Malayil, for his new film.
The film, supposedly a hero-dominated one, revolves around a father
and his bond with his son. The real life father-son pair of Jayaram
and Kalidas play the hero and his son in Sibi Malayil s film. The duo
had earlier appeared together in Sathyan Anthikad s `Kochukochu
Santhosangal .
But the presence of Simran will be the talking point of the film.
Sources close to her confirm that she is now interested
in `meaningful roles . The actress has proved in earlier films
like `Vaali and `Parthein Rasithein that she can emote well and
deliver the goods.
Late actress Silk Smitha could easily find her name among the ten most unforgettable actresses of Tamil cinema. She was the greatest onscreen seductress in Tamil cinema till she ended her life by committing suicide.
A biography about her life is going to be made shortly. Simran plays the enchantress. The film has some real-life incidents from the late actress life.
K Rajeshwar is the producer-director of the film. He was the one who had recently directed Simran in Kovilpatti Veeralakshmi .

Im not sure but I heard that she is going to be the actress in "Velu". She is going do a dance number in "Jai" with Prashanth and in some more films..I dont remember the titles.

I have read that Simran (with Meena) is going to act in Rajini new flick "Shoorappa" but I dont know for sure. Her film with Prashanth "Velu" or "Venu" is still under progress. Im not sure if when they are going to release Udaya, we have waited for years for this movie to see the light, it can turn up like Kodeswaran a movie which was never released (Simran acted in the movie with a new face). I think they should release Udaya because all movies with Vijay and Simran turned out to be hits.

Her upcoming movies are "Popcarn" with Mohanlal which is directed by Nasser. Simrans sister Jothi plays her daughter in the movie. They will release this movie on pongal. Other movies are New(director Surya), Otran(Arjun), Udhaya(Vijay), Arasu(Sarathkumar) and Velu(Prasanth) and Kovilpathi veeralakshmi.
