Dam999, directed by Indian businessman Sohan Roy, is to make its presence in the American Film Market this November. American Film Market is an annual trading market where movie makers and distributors come together to trade unfinished projects and distribution rights. Unlike a film festival that caters to film buffs, this event appeals to people with commercial interest in movies. Dam999 is inspired by the 1975 Banqiao dam disaster which killed 2,50,000 people in China. Director Sohan Roy has brought Hollywood, Bollywood and Mollywood actors on board this film which will show nine characters and their struggles before and after the dam collapse. This Biz TV production is scheduled to hit screens in December.
