Slumdog kids in Disneyland
Smiling Mickey Mouse. Clever Donald Duck. Rich Uncle Scrooge. Who cannot but love the McDuck Universe and the Mickey Mouse party? No child can, I swear! Even adults are lured to the pranks of these Walt Disney characters. No wonder the Slumdog kids are extraordinarily in love with Mickey and Donald. Above all, whatcould be a more fitting follow-up of an almost fairytale-like red carpet night? A fairy land, indeed. And what is the best fairy land on earth? Disneyland!
Yes! The Slumdog kids had a whale of a time in Disneyland. After rubbing shoulders with the who's who of Hollywood, the kids spent their time hugging and cuddling Mickey and Minnie Mouse at Hollywood's most famous tourist spot, Disneyland. They enjoyed several thrilling rides and watched movie-making action at the Walt Disney studios.
If the Oscar night was a dream come true for the kids, Disneyland was a fitting ending to their dream trip to the US. Reported to be returning home today, the kids will be attending another round of ecstatic celebrations here.
Earlier,the kids had a great bash at the Oscar red carpet yesterday, obligingly giving interviews and posing forevery TV channel who approached them. A TV anchor said that he was more “star-struck” by the kids than any of the other glitterati on the red carpet. The young Jamal, Ayush and Tanay were the most talkative of the lot. Though the real slum kids Azharuddin and Rubina were quite reticent, they watched everything happening around them with amazement. The kids said that they have got autographs from almost all they met.
Shining in their black tuxedos and chic dresses, the kids were the real cherubs of the Academy night. Have fun, kids!
